I was born in Ijebu-Ode, a small town in the western part of Nigeria. Growing up in a soccer crazed nation, I naturally gravitated towards the sport and spent a lot of my time playing as a kid. When I was in secondary school, better known in American English as high school, my mother and I moved to Austin, Texas.  I soon found myself living in another sports crazed community, and I became an avid Texas Longhorn fan. As you can probably tell, sports is an important part of my life. I also love to travel. I’ve been to almost half of the states in the U.S and almost 20 countries. My other hobbies include astronomy, world history, and enjoying the outdoors.

Like every kid, I was excited about the possiblity of many different career paths. My love for medicine has a lot to do with growing up in a country where doctors really didn't have the resources to make an impactful difference. My hope is that one day in the future, I can use some of the great resources and education I gain in residency to help the people of Nigeria.

Being an Emergency Medicine physician is such an awesome privilege, as you truly are the frontline of an endless diversity of patients and pathology. This was the greatest  for me. I chose to come here for my residency because of the incredible people at this residency program. The techs, nurses, residents and attendings are ridiculously awesome at what they do and who wouldn't want to be a part of that. Before I decided to make this program my home, I rotated here and found my entire experience to be extremely fulfilling and the morale of the residency was consistently high. Residency can be a rough road and being in a challenging yet supportive residency is paramount.  I'm extremely happy with my decision to train at Texas A&M - Christus Spohn Emergency Medicine.
