Medical School: University of North Texas -TCOM
I was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, went to Texas A&M University for my undergraduate training, and attended medical school at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, again in Fort Worth, TX. Along the way I met and married my wife, and have been accumulating pets at an alarming rate -- we are now up to two dogs and a cat.
I really enjoy hanging out at the beach with my wife, friends, and our dogs, and that is often where you can find us in our free time. I am also always up for ultimate frisbee, frisbee golf, camping, swimming and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of. I love to read. Some of my favorite authors include Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn, George R.R. Martin and J.R.R. Tolkien.
I am addicted to Emergency Medicine because it is just about as diverse as medicine can get. As an EM physician you are afforded the opportunity to care for and meet people from all walks of life, all ages and encounter a wide variety of medical issues and pathology. But that's EM everywhere. What makes this program special is just how "Resident-centric" it truly is. Our faculty has an abundance of medical training and knowledge, but more importantly, are tremendous advocates for our education, clinical experience, and family lives. As Emergency Medicine residents at this program, we are allowed to grow unfettered (but not unsupervised) to our fullest potential in a very unique, exciting training program, which I truly believe prepares physicians as well as any.
