Medical School: UTMB - Galveston
I have moved around quite a bit over the years. I was born in the small South Texas town of Cuero and moved to Austin before grade school. After my freshman year of high school we moved to the piney woods of East Texas to Athens. It was a great place to grow up cruising the square and meeting at the local Sonic on Friday and Saturday nights. It was like living in Happy Days only with more Copenhagen and cowboy hats. For college I ventured to the North Shore of Lake Tahoe where 600 inches of snow and 300 days of sunshine annually translated into 200 days of snow skiing and wakeboarding.
Before medical school, I worked as an operating room assistant, and later as a paramedic for the city of San Marcos, Texas.
Since arriving in Corpus, I have traded my snow skis and wakeboard for a fishing pole and waders. I spend my days off trying to land local sea monsters instead of 360s.
