Interviews are conducted on selected Tuesdays and Wednesdays from October to January. Plan to arrive to attend dinner with emergency residents at 6 pm at a local Corpus Christi restaurant the evening before the interview day.
Complimentary hotel accommodations for applicants granted an interview are provided at a local hotel. Information about lodging will be sent from the residency program after your interview is scheduled.
Transportation: Taxi and Ride Share Programs such as Lyft and Uber are available in town. Some hotels provide complimentary shuttle service from the airport. Please contact the hotel directly for details.

INTERVIEW DAY SCHEDULE
Please arrange to arrive at the CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital by 7:50 am in the B South Tower Lobby on your interview day. It is important to be on time. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please notify our residency coordinator of any dietary restrictions.

An optional shadowing experience in our Emergency Department and/or attendance at our Thursday morning resident conferences can be arranged by contacting Debra Looper at 361 861-1864 at least 1 week before the scheduled interview date.

Lunch: Some choices include Hester's Cafe (at the Art Museum of South Texas or at Six Points), Nuevo Cafe (try the Poblano Soup), Luciano's (Italian), Blacksheep Bistro (on Padre Island), Harrison’s Landing and Waterstreet Oyster Bar.
Visit the Corpus Christi Beaches: Follow the SPID over to Padre Island. Turn left on Whitecap at the second light. Turn left on Windward Drive and park in the beach parking lot on the right. Other popular spots are Padre Bali Park, JP Luby Beach, Mustand Island State Park and Padre Island National Seashore (Malaquite Beach).
Sightseeing: Some of our favorite places include Ocean Drive, the Texas State Aquarium, the USS Lexington, catching a ball game at Whatburger Field, and the Hans A. Suter Wildlife Area (boardwalk and bird watching)
