Medical School: Texas A&M
I was born and raised in South Texas and attended Texas A & M University in Kingsville, Texas. I continued my medical education at Texas A&M Health Science Center in College Station, Texas and was brainwashed with the Aggie ways. In college, I managed to convince my current husband to marry me and follow me to medical school and residency; we have a beautiful eighteen month old daughter along with our four-legged cocker spaniel. We enjoy spending time with our families and friends, traveling anywhere, visiting wineries, gardening, wood crafting, and being outdoors boating, fishing, or just hanging out. I have six younger brothers, so along with everything else, this means our life is never boring - and that is the way we like it! I also love shopping, organizing, interior decorating, and skydiving, much to my husband’s dismay.
Corpus Christi offers a huge variety of seldom realized opportunities for recreation for everyone – outdoor activities of all kinds, museums, cultural centers and events, tons of festivals, sporting events, live music, great food, and more, all affordable for residents!
Joining the emergency medicine program here was a wonderful decision. The educational environment is rich, and the faculty members are eager to teach, approachable, and fun. The learning opportunities are endless and simply unparalleled. The smaller class size allows for great relationships between colleagues, and the administration is receptive and proactive. I am confident I will emerge from this program as a well-rounded, competent, compassionate, and efficient physician.
