Medical School: Oregon Health and Science University
I grew up in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a musician and a surfer, and now a physician, too. After realizing in my early-mid-twenties that I was interested in pursuing a career in medicine, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend OHSU as a medical student in Portland, Oregon. I'm also fortunate in that I get to train as an emergency medicine physician here in Corpus Christi.
I didn't rotate here, but when I interviewed, it was clearly a good fit. The ED acuity is high, the attending physicians are friendly and heavily invested in transitioning new residents into exceptional doctors. The residents are happy. Learning your craft as a resident is challenging, but I'm pleased to say that it's challenging here in exactly the right ways.
